PAPPA AL POMODORO

Here we have another typical tuscan dish: it as a poor dish people used to eat very often.

Today it is very appreciated and it can be prepared very quickly.

Put garlic in oil ( real tuscan oil!), then put the tomatoes (400 gr.) cut in pieces and let cook for about 10 minutes.

Add vegetable broth, the stale bread ( 250 gr.) cut in slices, basil and salt. Let it cook for 20 minutes, add white beans and let cook for 10 minutes.

In the original recipe there were not the beans and they have been added later.

This dish needs to rest for a while to get flavour.

If you wish add fresh pepper.

You will surely appreciate it since it has all the tuscan flavours!!
